What You Need
It goes without saying that it pays to be prepared. Here are a few reminders and tips for you.
Helmet: Our team is doing everything to make this event as safe and fun to ride for you. You can help with proper head protection. Riders must wear an ANSI or Snell approved helmet while riding.
Clothes and Sunscreen: Wear your sunglasses and sun screen. Two water bottles are also advisable. And just in case, tuck away a windbreaker, gloves and a rain jacket.
Tubes and Tools: A fleet of sag support will be patrolling to help you out of any minor jams you might encounter. But for simple flats, bring a patch kit, spare inner tube, and a frame pump. Stock your tool kit with everything you need to adjust spokes and brakes, and mend a chain.
Rules of the road will apply. Stop at all stop signs, try to stay single file except when passing.
Volunteer & Cheer
Another fun way for you family to get involved is to volunteer on the course. There are many shifts and jobs available and it is always great to get a little friendly cheer from your loved ones as you make your way through the Harvest Ride.
